Graphic Design & Stuff

Rising from the Chicago suburbs, Martin has a long history as a graphics production & design manager, in the publishing field. Managing text book projects for some of the nation's largest school book publishers, including Holt, Rinehart & Winston, Scott Foresman, & Harcourt Education. While being an expert in page building & technical art applications, Martin is also an accomplished Photoshop Artist, with many professional years handling & teaching complex photo manipulation and color correction. His duties as a manager in 2002, won him a Chicago Book Clinic Award for Excellence.

Outside of publishing, Martin is currently combining his passion of progressive rock music, with artistic endeavors, art managing skills, and his love of prog video collecting. Martin's design work can be seen gracing the covers, menus, & promotions for such bands as Spock's Beard, Transatlantic, Nick & Neal, and The Flower Kings. During the 80's he also labored as a professional comic strip artist, and was syndicated nationwide. His involvement with Neal Morse in recent years, has led him to co- produce Spock's Beard's "Don't Try This at Home" DVD set. As well as make amateur films of many Spock's Beard & related concerts, which have been used within the official band products. There's one more in the works now, he says will rock your socks off!

Currently, Martin is producing cover art for the world-renown supergroup Emerson, Lake & Palmer. You will also be seeing one of Martin's rare ELP videos featured in an upcoming official DVD documentary.

"It was a real treat to have been asked to design the cover & package for The Tsunami Projekt. It gave me an opportunity to express a different mood, as well contribute to a cause I really care about."
