Badger is based in San Diego, California and comprised of the
following members:
Paul Adrian Villarreal – vocals, acoustic guitar, additional
keyboards, and resident Spock’s Beard enthusiast
Satoru Takagi – Keyboards, music theory advice, inventor of fine
cocktails
Mike Rounds – bass, backing vocals, travel agent for “Mr. T”
(Satoru’s keyboard)
Mark Scott – drums, backing vocals, lyrics, egg-carton sound
diffuser expert
Lee Loveless – guitar, backing vocals, and future legal
representation for the band
Wooden Badger is very proud to be a part of
this projekt.
Inclusion on “The Tsunami Projekt” will mark the bands second
release, following “Ep,” a three song EP from 2004. The Badger
hopes to put the finishing touches on their full length debut very
soon, and it should see a release later this year.
As
for the future, Wooden Badger hopes to utilize technology to
continue writing together despite the fact that Satoru has had to
return to his homeland of Japan, Lee has begun the huge undertaking
of Law School, and Paul will be relocating to Europe to work with
Lion Music recording artists Sun Caged. Two new Wooden
Badger songs are already underway, so we won’t call it a
“hiatus” just yet!
About the Song…
Although not specifically written for this projekt, the song is
eerily appropriate as it deals with the themes of disaster,
sacrifice and ultimately redemption. Christian overtones may be
apparent, yet the message may also be interpreted more universally.
