Schafe im Elektrozaun (german for "sheep in the electric fence") mainly does acoustic cover versions of the few songs the three guys can agree on.
The band's name stems from warning signs put up around pasture grounds in their hometown to keep unsuspecting hikers alert for those ferocius creatures.

S.i.E. is:
Helli (percussions, vocals)
Steffen (guitar, harp, vocals)
Andi (guitar, bass, vocals)

The submitted song was written by Andi 2 or 3 years ago, and re-recorded for this album with Helli on congas & Andi doing everything else (playing Steffen's guitar, which makes it an official S.i.E. recording).
It's a nice, if a bit clichéd little song about the hope for another chance to get things right.

Visit the band's website (only in german for now) for more information & sound samples.

Another Day
lyrics & music by Andreas Sailer

Leaves are falling and rotting in the dirt
They're fading like the memory of an unspoken word
And all my dreams show a vision of you
An empty reminder of what never became true
And I don't wanna fall asleep just to see
The things that could have been
But will never be

So I turn on all my lights and try hard to stay awake
Cause when this night is over I might see another day
I turn on all my lights and try hard to stay awake
Cause when this night is over I might see another day

The winds gather rain and bring a storm from the sea
Might just wash away my pain, might just set me free
And I wish you could have heard the words I couldn't say
The chance was there, but I let it slip away
And the darkness of the night brings back the memory
Of things that could have been
But will never be

Turn on all the lights and try hard to stay awake
Cause when this night is over you might see another day

Turn on all the lights and try hard to stay awake
Cause when this night is over you'll see another day

You will see another day
