Holly Anderson - Lead Vocal

Gary
Sauer has been a Spock's Beard fan since 2000, mere days
after they appeared in his native Philadelphia, unbeknownst to him.
A drummer for most of his life, Gary recently took up the guitar
after his daughter bailed out after only two lessons. It was the
idea of his guitar teacher, Clint Lagerberg, to take on this
cover tune from the band Izz. Working for nearly five
months, a half an hour a week at a time, this is the finished
product. When this song was originally chosen, not much thought was
given to the fact that there was a female vocal part. Once the
project was well underway,
Gary had to decide how to deal with the female vocals.

Since Gary is a DJ at the
Dividing Line Broadcast
Network, he had heard some material from a former DJ,
Holly Anderson. Holly's beautiful voice was a natural fit and
luckily she agreed to help
out. The timing of completing the song and this project magically
coincided
and after the project spilled over to a second disc, Gary was
persuaded by
friends to contribute this track.
Gary would like to thank
Clint Lagerberg for being the catalyst, engineer and producer,
Holly
Anderson
for her fabulous singing, Tom Galgano for writing the song and
providing
valuable guidance for the bass and keyboard parts and to Brian Cobb
for a
wonderful mix of the final tracks and of course to Barry and the
rest of the
board members for the idea and the hard work to make this a reality. |

Holly
Anderson lives in Tennessee at the current time. Holly has been
singing professionally, mostly in choirs, since she was 11 years
old, for over half her life. Even though that's not what she's
chosen to do for her life, music still brings her a lot of joy. She
was very excited to work with Gary on this project as Izz is
one of her favorite bands. She hopes the listeners enjoy listening
to it as much as she enjoyed working on it. |
